This thesis focuses on the regional power grid power quality problems, On large scale wind farm access and metallurgical and other typical high-power nonlinear, impact and volatility of special load caused by the power quality problems and its cause analysis and research.Based on the wind field and nonlinear smelting load power quality characteristics.What’s more, it develops a model used for the power quality characteristic simulation of constant speed wind turbines, variable speed wind turbine(VSWT) and electric arc furnace,thus analyzing the power quality characteristic of wind farm and smelting load in regional power system. And then I make a analysis of all sorts of power quality management technology, and focuse on the comprehensive comparison of aspects of the reactive power characteristic, loss, response time, harmonic characteristics, resonant characteristics, control mode, land covering and costs between the SVC which is commonly used in the power system and the STATCOM,new type shunt compensation device,which has the advantages of fast smooth regulation to reactive power and compensation for harmonic current. To deal with the problem of voltage deviation and voltage fluctuation induced by the wind farm harmonic and reactive changes in Gansu power system, I have determined the quality management program which is employing the LC filter added with the STATCOM for dynamic regulation of reactive power, and I have modeled simulation for the program and verified the validity of the proposed scheme; With a35kV transformer substations of busbar (short-circuit capacity of500MVA) directly connected to a100MVA electric arc furnace load primarily steel mills, that determined the35kV transformer substations with bus TCR+FC type of power quality control program, and SVC input before and after the voltage-current characteristics and harmonic simulation analysis,proof that this scheme of good governance effect. Finally, combined with the actual situation of Gansu power grid, the grid power quality problem and control technology this paper puts forward some suggestion.
