Study On The Planning And Design Of Suburban Recreational Greenway

Now looking ahead the city we live in, everywhere is filled by the concrete building forest and motorcomponent of the tide of iron. The time we enjoy in the modern urban civilization and convenience, andwe find that the air we breathe is not sweet, the rivers are not clear, activity space in outdoors is extremelyscarce, the distance between the nature and us become more and more far. The urbanite’s body and mind isuniversal in the sub-healthy condition, more and more diseases are violating us unceasingly, is it the livablehome what we expected to live in? Whether does the modern people can still enjoy the beauty of nature,breathe fresh air, have a good swim in rivers, walk in the field and mountain forest? Our answer isaffirmative and clear. The suburban recreational greenway came into a reality, when people are tired of theparks which exist in the city as isolate dots, when they yearn for the green forest space, landscape andfamous scenery but the long trips will exhaust them.First, this paper reviewed the development history and theoretical background of domestic andforeign greenway, collated and summarized the research results of domestic and foreign greenway design;discussed the basic properties of the greenway combining with the related theories of greenway.Secondly, this paper analyzed the relevant concepts and theories from figuring out the concept ofgreenway firstly, got the function, classification and characteristics of the suburban recreational greenway,analyzed the problems as well as solutions of the existing greenways at the same time. And finallyanalyzed the planning principles, design concepts, overall planning, detailed design and other aspects ofthe suburban recreational greenway, The above analysis was the theory basis for further in-depth study.Finally, this paper took the actual case as the basis, combined with extensive reading and analysis, gotthe planning points and design methods of different types of suburban recreational greenway，raised somequestions about the planning and design now and the practical use later of the existing greenways. Hopethat the research can provide some theoretical references for the greenway’s construction in the future.
