The electric car is the trend and direction of future automobiles development. Because the electric car now has the problems of lack of power,short driving range, and so on, that the promotion and use of electric vehicles received very limited. Before the power battery breakthrough, we can only to reduce body weight, improve driver system efficiency to increase driving mileage, this is significant and useful even after power battery breakthrough. Here use the KK80Series miniature electric vehicles of Linyi Yida Electric Automobile Co., Ltd. for study, aims to design an efficient mechatronic drive system. This study mainly design of Switched Reluctance Motor, motor shaft and differential case of the mechatronic drive axle.Switched reluctance motor based on performance parameters of the KK80series of electric vehicles on the preliminary design, and then used the professional motor design software—RMxprt, to optimize the preliminary design of switched reluctance motor. And then used the finite element analysis software—ansoft Maxwell2D and Maxwell3D, to analysis the optimized design for2D and3D electromagnetic field analysis, transient electromagnetic field distribution of the design of switched reluctance motor, and the rotor output torque and the stator phase current changes regularity were obtained, verified the correctness of the design. Then calculated the calculation load of the differential gear based on the optimum parameters of the motor, and then designed the differential planetary gears, the axle gears and the axle. And used the software of CATIA to get the3D model of the main part of the rotor—differential mechatronic design, so that readers can be more intuitive understanding the design. It used the parametric modeling of Knowledge Engineering of CATIA software when established the planetary and axle gear model. Finally, the performance of the electric car with the design motor, reducer, an optional battery and tires was simulated and analysed by the software of ADVISOR. And the driving range of40km/h constant speed case was simulated too. Come to the vehicle’s maximum speed, the largest climbing degree and the maximum acceleration and driving range, verify the correctness and feasibility of the design.The design of the rotor—differential mechatronic drive system with high efficiency, light weight, compact and sturdy design meet the design requirements,that can be seen through the simulation analysis of the simulation software, has some theoretical significance and practical value.
