With the social and economic development, air pollution is increasingly serious. The most direct impact on the railway transport system is contamination growth rate increased. The contamination is from surface of a large number of transmission line insulator which direct exposure to the atmosphere.When the insulator surface contamination accumulated to a certain extent, the operation of the transmission line in certain weather conditions, may be a major area of pollution flashover. Flashover often results in a long line of rail transport disruption which a serious impact on the national economy. In general, climate and topography is closely related to natural accumulation of dirt. Geological environment along the Datong-Qinhuangdao railway is complexity, through mountains, farmland, urban, rivers, roads, industrial areas; the Insulator have to withstand the test of the contamination of nature in different natural environment. Meanwhile, there are stations along the railway line, interval, tunnels and other special sections. It is different of pollution situation in different sections. And contamination situation of the insulators which is along coal line is more serious than the power and other rail.This main objective is observed the contamination status of insulator along the Datong-Qinhuangdao railway; find the main factors which affect contamination rate of insulator; according to the contamination in different regions at different rates, Drawing the distribution situation of the contamination rate along Datong-Qinhuangdao line; So as to establish guidelines that can be used as insulation distribution of the contamination rate; For different climatic conditions and terrain conditions, Formulate antifouling flash scheme of catenaries insulator; Provide theoretical and technical support for the anti flashover of insulator, so as to ensure the continuing expansion transport capacityof Da-Qin heavy railway.
