| Many natural compounds isolated from the marine organisms as secondary metabolites show antifouling activity. Among those bioactive metabolites, 2,5,6-tribromo-1-methylgramine(TBG) has been attentioned because of its simple structure and highly antifouling activity. In this thesis, 12 indole derivatives have been synthesized by michael addition, and they are as follows methyl 3-(1H-indol-1-yl)propanoate, methyl 3-(5-bromo-1H-indol-1-yl)propanoate, methyl 3-(5,6-dichloro-1H-indol-1-yl)propanoate, methyl 3-(3-((dimethylamino)methyl)-1H-indol-1-yl)propanoate, methyl 3-(5-bromo-3-((dimethylamino)methyl)-1H-indol-1-yl)propanoate, methyl 3-(5,6-dichloro-3-((dimethylamino)methyl)-1H-indol-1-yl)propanoate, butyl 3-(5-bromo-3-((dimethylamino)methyl)-1H-indol-1-yl)propanoate, butyl 3-(5,6-dichloro-3-((dimethylamino)methyl)-1H-indol-1-yl)propanoate, 3-(1H-indole-1-yl)-N-(4-isopropoxybutyl)propanamide, 3-(1H-indol-1-yl)propanoic acid, 3-(5-bromo-1H-indol-1-yl) propanoic acid and 3-(5,6-dichloro-1H-indol-1-yl) propanoic acid. All title compounds are identified by means of FTIR and NMR. The optimum conditions of these new products are studied respectively, and the influence factors of reactions involved are discussed respectively also.In order to ascertain the antifouling activity of the 6 compounds preliminarily, antibacterial tests are carried out. The tests show that the 6 compounds exhibit potent antibacterial activities to a certain extent against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.4 compounds are used as antifouling angents in antifouling coatings respectively. After an exposure to marine environment the coatings show good antifouling activity especially to the biofilm and macrofouling organisms. |
