The exhaust gas recirculation technology is to reduce one of the most effective method of diesel engine emissions of nitrogen oxides, but our study of this technology at present only in the laboratory for the application of the product there is a considerable distance. In order to meet our increasingly stringent emissions regulations, in this paper, high-power diesel engine8240ZJ exhaust gas recirculation technology was researchded, and its performance was simulated. The main research work are as follows:First of all, the diesel engine working process calculation of the mathematical model is described in detail, in particular diesel combustion model, and Nitrogen oxides and carbon sm-oke emissions from objects of Mechanism and software using the model. The software used in combu-stion model is oil droplet combustion model that was proposed by Hrioyasu etc, carbon oxides is based on the extended Zeldovich generated mechanism of soot formation model is a model of Nagel&Strickland-Constable, the GT-Power software to build the whole model of a high-power diesel engine and its accuracy validated.Secondly, in the original diesel engine establish proper gas recirculation system, and performance simulation in view of the different EGR rate for diesel different speed under different load conditions area.Again, according to the results of the simulation analyze the performance of high-power diesel engine power, economy and emissions on effect exhaust gas recirculation system. Finally, on the basis of taking into account the engine power, economy and emissions, de-termine the biggest EGR rate on the simulation working condition.Through analysed the results we can draw the following conclusions:in a variety of con-ditions, the EGR can effectively reduce the emissions of nitrogen oxides, but the EGR rate will increase the emissions of Soot, power and fuel consumption of the diesel engine caused by the negative impact of varying degrees. Therefore, each working condition, there will be one of the best EGR rate, at that point able to ensure that power, economy and other emissio-ns, no significant deterioration of the premise, greatly reducing emissions of nitrogen oxides.
