Since its advantages of large transport capacity, high efficiency but low cost, heavy-haul railway has received attentions from railway authorities of countries all over the world and become the trend of railway freight transportation. The heavy-haul railway track in the world is mainly ballast track. Recent years, with the development of high speed railway, passenger special lines and urban rail transit, ballastless track has been widely installed and become maturer and maturer in technology. Developing ballastless track for heavy-haul transport operation is on the agenda of every country; therefore it is rather significant to do some structural analysis on heavy-haul ballastless track.A dual blocks track model and a low vibration track model were established using finite element software ANSYS in this article, aiming at the problem that the moment of solid element model cannot be obtained directly, an indirect method was proposed which was adopted to get the moment of roadbed slabs of the two track models mentioned above; meanwhile, the influences of track dimensions and parameters to the forces undertaken by each track components were studied.Rail models simulated by Euler beam, Timoshenko beam and modified Timoshenko beam were established, natural frequencies and the receptance to impact load of the three models were compared. To solve the issue of designing transition zones between ballast track outside the tunnel and ballastless track inside the tunnel, a vehicle-track coupling dynamics model was built based on modified Timoshenko beam, by adopting the model, the rail response when vehicle was passing the joints between different types of track was obtained, moreover, several designs of transition section were proposed according to this.
