Passenger terminal of high-speed railway is the window of railway to organize the daily work and provide the transport product and service for society. Most of the high-speed railway passenger terminal are located in where massive passenger flow is collected and distributed, which link the passenger dedicated railway, intercity railway, existing line, rolling stock depot and the maintenance base of vehicles They mainly handle the operations of starting, arriving, passing train on high-speed railway line and the passenger service. China’s high-speed railway passenger terminal has the characteristics of large scale, a mass of technical operations, complex work organization, and so on. Therefore, to ensure the operating time and safe of technical operations at the high-speed railway passenger terminal is the key to achieve a stable and orderly transportation network of high-speed railway.High-speed railway passenger terminal organize and command the daily transportation and production activities by the preparation of station technical operation plan. The station technical operation directly impact whether passenger organization work will be executed effectively and facilities of station will be used efficiently. In this paper, aiming at the characteristics of technical operation at China’s high-speed railway passenger terminal, we build the mathematical model of station technical operation, and solve the model using the lagrangian relaxation algorithm. The main work of this paper includes following aspects:(1) A theoretical analysis of high-speed railway stations technical operation, including the technical operating characteristics of the railway station in dedicated passenger line, the analysis of technical processes and principles, proposing the conditions and process required for preparation of station technical operations plan.(2) Technical operations are abstracted to be a kind of special job-shop scheduling problems among trains to analyze the operating procedures of different kinds of trains in detail, which are basic of mathematical model for technical operation.(3) We propose the algorithm framework of technical operations scheduling problem based on lagrangian relaxation algorithm, and give the specific solution process and algorithm flowchart. A simple numerical example is designed to test the feasibility of the algorithm, also analyze and adjust some pivotal parameters in this algorithm. (4) Using the model and algorithm proposed in this paper, and achievement by C#programming, we work out station technical operation plan of Beijing South Railway Station in24hours. Beijing South Railway Station is a high-speed rail hub station. Analysis of results proves the effectiveness and rationality of this algorithm model to solve the technical operation problem of high-speed railway hub station.
