Now machinery manufacturing industry is facing a market,where the needs arebecoming more diverse, the product life cycle is shorter, competition is more intense. How tooptimize product design, manufacturing process and effectively conserve the resources oflabor, machines, material, and tools, and reduce the cost has become imperative. CAPP is acomprehensive technology involved in product design, manufacturing and management, andit is important to optimize the allocation of resources and reduce costs. There are two contentsof this paper: description of the part information and process routes decision-making, theresearch contents are as follows:1) This paper analyzes the CAPP’s needs of part information; and part informationmodeling is established on general information layer, feature layer and feature attribute layerto meet CAPP’s needs, and the modeling is based on the holographic feature, which is formedby feature design.2) According to the research of the definition and attributes of operation cell, theproblems of selective decision-making and process decision-making in process routesdecision-making are translated into the generation and rank of operation cells. Using theproduction rule this paper establishes the modelings of the select of process chain, clampingsurfaces, machines, tools, and fixtures. And operation cells can be generated by making theinformation from the part information modeling to match the manufacturing capacity in themanufacturing resource library.3) Based on the ACO, an algorithm is used to solve the rank of operation cell (processdecision-making). According to the principle, problem representation, process of ConstructAntSolution, and ant’s behavior of ACO, process decision-making modeling isestablished facing ACO: process decision-making means to find a minimum lengthnon-closed Hamiltonian path in a directed weighted graph, which has weight (weightedHamming distance) on the connection and precedence relation between node and node(operation cell and operation cell). The constraints of the operation cells can be stored in thefore tables, and similarity between two operation cells can be indicated by weightedHamming distance ,ant constructs solution in the directed graph under the constraints of foretables and tabu criterion;In the ConstructAntSolution, pheromones on the path must beupdate (release and evaporate) underAS rankcriterion; After several iterations of many ants, anoptimal or near-optimal process route can be got ultimately.This paper develops a CAPP prototype system for the shaft parts; and researches abovehave a certain reference to the developping of generative CAPP.
