Aerial platform fire engine, which could finish fire extinguishing and rescue work within the range of vertical tens of meters and own a wide range of job suitability and flexibility, is a comprehensive fire engine. With economic development, more and more high-rise buildings, aerial platform fire engine gradually becomes the necessary equipment in the fire service. Luffing system as one of the important subsystems of aerial platform fire engine, whose performance relates to the lifting of the vehicle. The hydraulic system in the past mostly through the prototype directly test whether the system is reasonable. This method not only waste time, but also exist great danger. This article by luffing system design and simulation analysis, we can offer more reasonable design for luffing system, thereby reducing the design loss and improving the system and shortening the design cycle.This thesis is based on the practice project of the series of100m aerial platform fire engine that is exploited by The Research Center of Construction Machinery of DLUT and Zhengzhou Xindafang Heavy Industry Technology Corporation. Cylinder luffing system of second arm is researched in this paper:(1) The design of the luffing system on the aerial platform fire engineBased on the categorization of structure and the movements of the aerial platform fire engineer, according to manufacturer’s requests and following the related criterions and consulting the foreign productions, it designs the hydraulic schematic of the luffing system and chooses the component model.(2) The simulation analysis about luffing systemIn this thesis, it builds simulation models of every component with AMESim software, analyses simulation result and stylebook’s data, validates simulation models’correctness. It builds simulation model of luffing system based on hydraulic schematic and simulates cylinders’shrinkage process. Compare and contrast simulation result with academic result, it validates simulation models’correctness farther.(3) The research of the luffing system’s dynamic characteristicsOn the basis of simulation model of luffing system, it analyses dynamic characteristics on some important parameters. In this paper, it mainly researches the cylinder luffing system of second arm. It uses AMESim software to build primary components and cylinder luffing system simulation models, and analyses multifactor on the dynamic characteristic of hydraulic system into effect, thereby provides a good simulation basis for the degian of aerial platform fire engine luffing system.
