In recent years, as one of the key components of large-tonnage and high-performance construction crane, Single-cylinder bolt mechanisam has been widely applied to the telescopic crane home and abroad. It has various forms of structure and different operating principles. In order to get flexible, reliable, safe, easy maintenance and high efficiency telescopic system, Many manufacturers are actively involved in investment and study.Taking the gear interlocking-cylinder bolt mechanism of TZM1200t telescopic crane as an example, this article presents some intensive research on its structural performance. This product is developed by the collaboration of Dalian University of Technology and Taiyuan Heavy Mach-inery Group Co., Ltd. The object of the paper is to obtaining a relatively complete set of designing, alculating and parame-terr optimizating method. The main work are as follows:(1) Taking TZM1200t telescopic boom crane’s single cylinder bolt mechanism as an example, the design concept, structure form and operating principle of gear interlocking single-cylinder bolt mechanism are presented by analysis. Some detailed calculation on relevant parts of the whole mechanism is conducted and the key parameters which decide the work performance of the gear interlocking cylinder bolt mechanism is found out;(2) To analyse different factors which have some impact on the core performance parameters of gear interlocking single-cylinder bolt mechanism by dynamics simulation, and then extract the simulation result of different factors. All factors are divided by the main factors and secondary factors;(3) Considering the main factors and ignore the secondary factors in accordance with above assessment results, the dynamical equation of the cylinder bolt’s and boom bolt’s pining process are respectively established. Curve of the core parameters performance is drawn and compare the results of dynamics simulation with analytic solution of dynamical equation to verify the correctness of the dynamical equation. It provides a simple and quick calculating method for engineering design;(4) The parameters which have great influence on the key perfromance factor are extracted by analyzing every one of the equation. The pining time-varying spring stiffness of cylinder bolt and boom bolt are respectively given.This work will specify the direction of optimization for the designer;(5) In accordance with the directions noted above, the cylinder bolt spring, boom bolt spring, cylinder sping of cylinder bolt and rack and pinion drive mechanism are multi-objective optimized. The curve of time-varying spring stiffness and pining time are respectively obtained by taking the optimized parameters into the kinetic equation. In order to evaluate the optimized results, the structure work performance of before and after are compared and analyzed. According to the optimization results, the structure of the original design is improved.To sum up, a complete set of gear-interlocking single-cylinder bolt mechanism design and optimization method is put forward in this paper, and provides the theory basis for the practical engineering application. It has a guiding significance.
