Research On The Multicenter Symbiosis Perspective Of Coordinated Development Of Wuhan City Circle

During the process of fast economic development, megalopolitanization becomes a general trend which cannot be halted. As the high level of urbanization in east coastal economy developed area, there has been the Yangtze river delta, Bohai ring megalopolis and the Pearl river delta. With the development of economy, the number of metropolis has become larger and larger and the role which they play is more and more important. At the present,metropolis in our country mainly develop in the way of single centre. But this way has caused a series of problems which is or has been troubled many metropolis. Such as serious disorder expansion, masses of repetitive construction caused by development of Neustadt and Open Economic Zone and rapid scale enlargement. However, with the big population base and the shortage of per capita resource, especially the very limited cultivated land resources, extensive use of resources and disorder enlargement of the city block the metropolis’ further development. As a result, it is urgent to find a new way which is sustainable and fit for development of the metropolis’ development in our country.Wuhan Urban Agglomeration, which is a Two Oriented Society experimental site and the biggest city circle in middle Yangtze river, is the most intensive city circle central regions in China. The sustainable development of Wuhan Urban Agglomeration not only decides the fate of Hubei province, but also affects the development of the whole middle Yangtze river and central regions.The research object of the thesis is Wuhan Urban Agglomeration and the research Angle is multicenter symbiosis. It discusses the present economy development of Wuhan Urban Agglomeration, summaries the obvious existing problems. It puts forward the new mode----multicenter symbiosis which can promote the coordinated development of Wuhan Urban Agglomeration by quantitative comparison of its economic association measure, city flow intensity and urban extroverted function index, traffic flow intensity. The thesis can be divided into five sections.Chapter one is about the research background and significance. Chapter two is on differences of related concepts and basic theories. Chapter three systematically analyses the present development of Wuhan Urban Agglomeration, introduces the scale and social development situation of Wuhan Urban Agglomeration. It focuses on the analysis of its economy development situation, including its overall economic summarized, industrialization level, economic institutions, industrial structure and employment structure. It does quantitative comparison in9cities in Wuhan Urban Agglomeration by utilizing its economic association measure, city flow intensity and urban extroverted function index, traffic flow intensity. It concretely analyses its economy relationship by calculation of economic contact strength between cities, location quotient, city flow intensity, city of outgoing function, urban function benefit. Having known the problems which exists in its economy development, Chapter four puts forward some constructive suggestions for its coordinated development under the guidance of many center symbiosis theory.
