The leaf spring suspension is an important assembly to keep the elastic contact between the semi-trailer chassis and axle, whose role is to pass the force that between the wheels and the frame, and the torque generated by the force. It can ease the shock and vibration amplitude which caused by the uneven road, when the force pass through tire to the frame or the body.Then, the vibration is decreased, and the vibration frequency is reduced. The vibration response characteristics, which is motivated by the leaf spring suspension on the uneven road, will not only affect the semi-trailer driving smoothness, but also influence the dynamic characteristics and the fatigue life of leaf springs and frame obviously. Through studying the semi-trailer vibration characteristics, which influenced by leaf spring suspension under different service environments, it has great significance for finishing the best match between the semi-trailer and leaf spring suspension, ensuring the service life of the semi-trailer, and realizing optimized design and lightweight design of semi-trailerThis thesis conducts a systematic study, including the working principle of the semi-trailer leaf spring suspension system, leaf spring stiffness, strength, and dynamic response characteristics. Through theoretical analysis, experimental test, numerical analysis and computer simulation, an in-depth analysis is given to the influence of leaf spring suspension on the semitrailer vibration characteristics. Then, the feasibility of the analysis model is verified, and the improving design for the leaf spring assembly is conducted. The main contents are shown as follows.1) In this thesis, the leaf spring suspension three-dimensional geometric model of semi-trailer is established. On the basis of this, the suspension dynamic model and the whole vehicle dynamic model is established, then, the input model of the Class B and Class D road spectrum is determined.2) The vibration characteristics test method of semi-trailer is studied, and vibration acceleration tests of semi-trailer suspension and wheel are conducted. Through dealing with test results of the Class B and Class D road, the power spectrum curve of the suspension and wheel acceleration can be obtained.3) In accordance with ADAMS software, the vibration simulation analysis of the semi-trailer suspension system is conducted. To begin with, related simulation model is established. Then, the input and output channels and vibrational excitation of semi-trailer are determined. What is more, the power spectrum curve of wheels and suspension on the Class B and Class D road is obtained.In this thesis, according to simulation and test, vibration response analysis of semi-trailer leaf spring suspension on road excitation is studied systematically. By comparing with the test results, it is easily to verify the correctness of the simulation model. In addition, the main factors that affecting the leaf spring vibration characteristics are explored. It has great value for promoting optimization design and lightweight design of the semi-trailer suspension and vehicle.
