In recent years, with frequent natural disasters and the spread of international terrorism around the world, structures are also frequently sustained unexpected loads or accidental loads. As they can not afford such a huge load, most of them collapse. These structures happen that partial destroyed leads to the whole structure destroyed and take some consequence that many people died and much property lost. These issues make the whole society sink into panic. In order to avoid or reduce these progressive collapse of building structures caused by natural disasters, sudden man-made. The engineers pay more and more attention to the structure’s resistance to progressive collapse capacity when they design the building structure. After the Ronan Point apartment building collapse in London, UK in1968.Reserchers abroad began to study the issue that how to improve the resistance to progressive collapse of the buildings. Countries and regions in the UK, Europe, the United States and Japan have been introduced building resistance to progressive collapse to the design specifications. At the same time, many experts in our country also began to study progressive collapse of the building performance and achieved fruitful results. In2001, the outbreak of the "9.11" in United States, once again starts progressive collapse of the construction structures as a hot issue. In this paper, using ANSYS finite element analysis software build the overall modeling, analysis of the resistance to progressive collapse of a double-layer cylindrical reticulated shell. The specific works are: First, analysis the first20modals of the structure, then calculate the natural vibration frequency and vibration period, and obtained the model is reasonable by comparison with a similar structure;Secondly, analysis the static buckling feature value of the structure under the load of the five different conditions, obtained a key area of the overall structure.Thirdly considering the premise of the geometric nonlinearity, obtain the critical bearing capacity of the structure after the remove some different links by nonlinear static analysis, and then calculated based on the concept of structural redundancy and link sensitivity, considering the influence of single link to the resistance to collapse capability of the whole structure. Then, assume some links or a node of the whole structure are destroyed, using nonlinear analysis, obtain the limit bearing of the rest structure, considering the influence of links or a node to the resistance to collapse capability of the whole structure. Finally, proposed several measures to improve structural resistance to progressive collapse performance, and using the way of increasing the section size of links, considering the influence of link section to the resistance to collapse capability of the whole structure; In addition, this paper analyzes the impact of initial imperfection on the performance of structural resistance to collapse. After analysis, get some conclusion about the resistance to collapse of double-layer cylindrical lattice shell, propose the lacking of this paper and the future direction of this study, have some reference value to actual constructions.
