Space masts are one-dimensional space deployable structure which have the function ofdeploying, supporting and separation, and applied most widely among all kinds of spacedeployable structures. The main function of space masts are deploying flexible solar array,supporting deployable antenna, and separating electronic equipments to decrease interferenceeach other in various space exploration activities. As the special nature of the work environment,high reliability is a necessary index of space masts. Studying the space cable-strut deployablearticulated mast, this paper analysis the status of the researchs involves its reliabilitycomprehensive.Then based on the basic theory of mechanical analysis and reliability analysis,the mechanism reliability of the space cable-strut deployable articulated mast to achievedeployable function is analysised.This paper built the reliability analysis model of kinematic accuracy and dynamic accuracyrespectively, according to the basic model of the mechanism reliability analysis and the requestof the mechanism on kinematic accuracy and dynamic accuracy, and found out the effect of thechanges of mechanism input parameter and movement function on the mechanism reliability.Based on the structure and function analysis of the space cable-strut deployable articulatedmast, the method combining hardware and functions was employed to divide the composition ofthe space cable-strut deployable articulated mast and to analyze all failure modes and effects,complete the FMEA statements of the space cable-strut deployable articulated mast.Based on Mechanics analysis model of the truss unit and performance function related withexpansion motion of truss unit, reliability analysis model of truss unit expansion motion ispresented and the reliability of the mast is calculated; The reliability analysis model ofmechanism ant-dislocation locking is proposed and the reliability of the mechanismant-dislocation locking is calculated based on the dislocation locking failure model analysis ofthe limit locking mechanism. Movement reliability analysis models of limit locking mechanismare built respectively at two dead points of locking mechanism, the reliabilities of two models are calculated.Establish the fault tree of space cable-strut deployable articulated mast based on the FMEAanalysis result.Obtain each event of interval probability using the method of fault tree intervalanalysis based on D-S(dempster-shafer)theory and interval probability theory.On the basis of theoperator to compute interval probability of FTA,forecast the system reliability.On the basis of the failure analysis of the space cable-strut deployable articulated mastsystem,the test pattern vector and typical fault matrix could be constructed through using theGray relation theory to analyze the relativity between fault signature and internal signature of thesystem.After that,using Gray relation theory to construct the failure analysis model of spacecable-strut deployable articulated arm system.By the analysis of this modle,we can find out themain failure causes and providing the basis for the follow-up developed.
