As the main source of vibration, the powertrain mounting system has a great impact onride comfort for modern vehicles. A well-designed powertrain mounting system cansignificantly decrease the vibration transforming from the powertrain to the body, andimprove the NVH (Noise and Vibration Harshness) quality of the vehicles. Vibrationisolation design of powertrain mounting system needs to consider various influencing factors,the design process is complex and the calculation is difficult. In the study ofdomestic and foreign isolation design theory, software named OPtimnt was developed whichcan optimize the design of the powertrain mounting system and analyze the vibrationisolation performance of the vehicles. The main contents of the dissertation are as follows:(1) The mechanical and mathematic model of rubber mount and hydraulic mount wasbuild up, on this basis, the6-Degree-of-Fredom model of powertrain mounting system wasestablished too. The dynamic equation of powertrain mounting system was derived byapplying Lagrange Equation, the methods about intrinsic characteristic analysis, staticanalysis and the time-domain analysis were illustrated in detail.(2) The vibration isolation design of powertrain mounting system can be regarded as anoptimization process, the design variables, objective function, constraints and optimummethod of this optimization were illustrated.(3) According to the general application software development process, the softwarenamed OPtimnt was developed by Visual C++.(4) The vibration isolation performance of a powertrain mounting system was analyzedby using OPtimnt and ADAMS, the analysis results were compared in order to verify theaccuracy and reliability of OPtimnt.(5) OPtimnt was used for the optimal design of510commercial vehicles’ powertrainmounting system, the basic parameters of the powertrain mounting system were tested byexperiment, the vibration isolation performance was analyzed and a reasonable set of design variables was obtained.
