Due to vehicles’over-load, the vehicles’over-height, drivers’error driving, defects of bridge collision avoidance measures and other factors, the accidental collisions between vehicles with bridges occur frequently. Research for vehicle-bridge collision is more than research for boat-bridge collision both at home and abroad.Firstly, this paper introduced the present study about collision between vehicles and bridges and described the basic theory and calculation methods for the collision between vehicles and bridges. The paper also introduced similarity theory. The paper took a Single Pier Ramp Bridge in Beijing for research object, and we made a scale model for test according to the similarity theory. We test the dynamic strain and acceleration of pier and beam under different Impact velocity and different impact mass. Then, the paper made the finite element model of the test model using ANSYS/LS-DYNA. Calculating and analyzing the test of model with ANSYS/LS-DYNA, and contrasted with the test results. Then, the paper made the finite element model of the collision between actual vehicle and actual bridge, and calculating and analyzing the dynamic strain and acceleration of pier and beam of actual bridge under different Impact velocity and different impact mass. The paper conversing dynamic response results of test into dynamic response data of actual bridge according to the similarity theory, and contrasting with results of finite element model. So we can analyze the feasibility of method which is used by research for collision between vehicles and bridges with similarity theory and model test. The chapter6is the research about dynamic response and damage of bridge after impacted by heavy trucks with finite element model. Finally, the paper summarized the main conclusion and existing problems, and gave the future research fields.
