The standard method directly influence the success or failure of the final. From the1960s methodology movement, Architectural scholars began to architectural design method of the theory research. They discussed In different aspects, different degree. The contents include the specific methods, general method and philosophical Methodology. The contents involves Philosophy, aesthetics, psychology, thinking science, sociology, engineering, and other fields. After more than half a century of development, architecture design method in theory has been made more fruitful. We started building design method of the theory research from the1980s in Our country. Compared with western research, there are certain gap. But this area of research has gradually spread, and made some achievements under the unremitting efforts of scholars in our country.This thesis is about summary and thinking of the research of contemporary architectural design method. Through collecting the domestic and international architectural design method of the theory research, this paper combed the related theory of contemporary development. In order to discuss contemporary domestic present situation of the research, the future development, this paper systematically expounds contemporary architectural design method in theory. The content contains six chapters, includes specific methods, general methods and thinking method three parts. The first chapter describes the research background, the significance of the study, the content and methods of research and research situation. The second chapter discussed the specific technique, pointed out that the design technique are not design method, analyzed the contemporary architectural design technique research status of classification. In the third chapter and the fourth is the general method of the architecture design of the study in this paper. The third chapter discussed the design problem, explored the nature of the design problem from the question classification, the structure of the problem, Summarized the way of solving design problems. The fourth chapter explored the design process, analyzed the existing design process model. According to different design starting point, the design process is divided into two kinds-analysis model and guess test mode. Then explores the the relationship between problems and solutions. In order to reveal thinking method of design main body in the design process, Chapter5discussed design thinking combined with psychology and philosophy, especially in the innovation design. The sixth chapter is summarizes and thinking, to grasping the the historical process of the theoretical study of contemporary architectural design method on macroscopic, putting forward the development view of the theory research. Later, discusses the relationship between the design methodology and practice, Points out that the guiding significance of the methodology. Finally, presents the design method is a kind of skill that can be learnd and mastered. This is the purpose and meaning of the research of the theory of the architectural design method.
