Porous asphalt pavement is a good kind of extruded skeleton asphalt pavement withlarger gap features, this pavement has many nice features such as anti-slidingperformance, noise reduction, inhibiting water mist and preventing and reducing glaremisguided, it also can make it more comfortable and safety to rainy driving. With therequest of national resource conservation and environment friendly society, it hasimportant engineering application prospect and economic benefits to study the waterdrainage properties of the asphalt pavement durability. Because it can ensure the servicelife of the Porous Asphalt pavement ,and reduce the fiscal expenditure for the highwayengineering construction.By lab test, analyzing results, referencing domestic and foreign relevant standardsand technical requirements, the raw materials’technic indexes was proposed. By testingthe raw materials mixing with asphaltic binder of different content of TPS, the researchpresented that the performance index of modified asphaltic with TPS get Dramaticallyimproved, which accords with the requirements of Porous Asphalt pavement for highviscosity modified asphaltic.After analyzing the water loss mechanism of Water permeability asphalt mixtureand factors which influenced the mixture’s water stability, and refering to the actualevaluation methods domestic and overseas, some tests were done to discuss the impact ofshort-term aging and freeze-thaw cycles to the mixture’s water stability. The resultshowed that TPS can improve the mixture’s water stability, short-term aging willimprove its strength, and freeze-thaw cycles will reduce the strength. It meant that theproposal strength of freeze-thaw splitting test should be not less than 80%.At last ,specific to the actual horizontal force and the spalling caused by vacuumsuction effect when the mixture was used, the thesis analyzed the Pavement’s spallingand wear mechanism and the factors affecting the antistripping and wear-resistingproperty, and chosen the wear depth of unit area to present the mixture’s wear-resistingproperty.The tests presented that the wear depth of unit area decreases by adding TPS,and the high viscosity modified asphaltic can extend the inperiod of the road, and alsoincrease its durability.
