Concrete pump is a special vehicle used for conveying concrete and composed ofcar chassis, concrete delivery pump and boom structure. It can make use of the boomsystem for the horizontal transportation and vertical transportation of concretecombined together. Concrete pump car has superior performance, high efficiency andoutstanding mobility, it plays an irreplaceable role in many areas of modernization.The boom system is one of the most important part in the concrete pump car. Therationality of the boom structure will directly affect the performance and stability ofthe concrete pump car. Boom system must not only have good stiffness and strength,but also have superior adaptability and reliability. Therefore, boom system design andmanufacture must have strict requirements, obviously, it is very necessary to do someexperiment of boom system. This paper reviewed the development history and currentresearch frame of arm pump car at home and abroad. The main content of the text asfollows:1Analysis the conditions of boom system and determine the most dangerousoperating condition. In this paper, I analysis some company’s37meters boom systemof concrete pump car. Calculated the strength of the boom system, the force value ofthe junction points and meet the stability under the most dangerous operating condition—horizontal overhang for boom system. All of this will make the analysis of finiteelements is correct.2Based on the software Pro/E and Ansys, and according to the basic step fromsubstance modeling to FEA, we made a FEA of static strength of boom structure inorder to get the information about the boom system such as quiet stress, displacement,rigidity. Determine the maximum displacement, maximum stress location and find thereason then grasp the performance of the arm frame.3Analysis each arm’s stress condition and according to the reason which arm isnot most full use of the material and propose a optimization solution. Finally, realizethe optimization design of the arm frame system and realize the purpose of reducingthe arm’s weight.4Based on some experimental data, verified the validity and rationality of thefinite element analysis.
