Abstract/Summary:
It is especially important to study the basic theory of masonry structure when modern masonry structure is wide applied to high-rise buildings and anti-seismic district.Finite element analysis has become an important tool and approach for structure analysis. The accuracy of numerical simulations in masonry structure is waiting for further improved, relative to the concrete, steel or other structures. ANSYS is applyed to the nonlinear masonry structure analysis in this dissertation that has obvious value for enriching and improving basic theory of masonry structure. In this paper,i simulated concrete brickwork masonry wall which is in horizontal loading with finite element analysis software ANSYS , to see it’s mechanical properties in elasticity period, and analyzed stress distribution and regulation with different height to width aspect ratio of the wall under the different vertical load with the settings of the constructional column and ring beam or not.And then, this paper studies the method of numerical simulation analysis of masonry. Some factors which affect the accuracy of numerical analysis results are discussed and different iterative method, convergence criteria, some parameter setting which affect outcomes are compared through examples. It is of great significance to the feasibility and accuracy of masonry numerical analysis. It’s a usual stress state in the project which the wall works in conbination of horizon- nntal and vertical loading. This paper stu- dies cracking process and destruction of concrete-block masonry wall under the stress state and the height-width ratio、vertical stress、constructional column and ring beam’s effect for shear performance, great significance for enriching basic theory of masonry structure and practical engineering application.
