Automatic train protection plays an important role in train control system, and the on-board equipment is the important part of ATP. This paper realizes an on-board safety computer with redundancy structure, and researches the method of train speed and position measurement.The first chapter is the preface, including the background of railway signaling and train control system and the introduction of the structure and function of ATP. In terms of structure, ATP on-board system must comply with the fail-safe principle for the safety of railway transport, and the redundancy configuration has been widely used. In terms of function, the speed and position measurement is an important part of ATP. Accurate measurement of train speed and position ensures safety of train running and improves transportation efficiency. Several train speed and position measuring techniques are also introduced in this section.Chapter two mostly introduces the design and implementation of the double2-vote-2safety computer. First, several common structures are analyzed, and the double2-vote-2structure is adopted in this paper. Then, a double2-vote-2safety computer based on TMS570is designed, and its several key features are realized.Chapter three is the safety analysis of the system. Fault tree analysis is used to analyze the system safety. In this section, fundamental concepts of reliability and safety are introduced and the steps of safety analysis using fault tree is given.Chapter four introduces the development and design of the hardware platform. This section gives the development of TMS570, and completes the design of circuit and PCB.Chapter five studies the method of train speed and position measurement based on multi-sensor fusion. An integrated measurement method using federated Kalman filtering is presented in this paper. Experiment results prove that this method can improve the accuracy and reliability of train speed and position measurement.Finally, the last chapter summarizes the researches which have done before.
