The rapid development of urban rail traffic has prompted the Chinese social urbanization and accelerated the pace of city big urbanization. In addition, it has been proved to be an effective way to solve the problem of city traffic jam in many of cities at home and abroad. Accompany with the fast development of urban rail traffic, the technical research of the complete set technology of the new transport way is highly demanded more and more. And the train location technology has become one of the key technologies of the automatic train control system,its accuracy and reliability directly impact on the train safety and the traffic efficiency.The main goal of this paper is to improve the accuracy and reliability of train location in the urban rail traffic by employed the technology of multi-sensor information fusion.As we known, the application of only a single sensor is difficult to satisfy the demand of high accuracy and reliability, but each sensor has its own advantages in the automatic train control system. If we combine with many of these sensors and make the best of respective advantages, the accuracy and reliability will be enhanced greatly. We combine with the sensor of INS, GPS and OD for multi-sensor information fusion in this paper,because they could complement each other effectively by their advantages,as to achieve high accuracy and reliability.In the paper, we first discuss each of the positioning subsystems in detail,and expatiate their working principle,system components,error sources and model calculations, as well as federal kalman filter theory and H∞filter theory. On the base of these investigations, the information fusion algorithm applied to the train location in urban rail traffic and the train location method based on kalman filtering algorithm and robust H∞filtering algorithm are designed. Then lots of simulations under different conditions are made.Those simulations indicate that multi-sensor information fusion can elevation the accuracy and reliability of the train location. The train location method based on the federal kalman optimal filtering information fusion has the high accuracy,a few of calculation, the characteristics of fault rolerance are well.but it needs the accurate mathematical description of the interference signal,and its robustness is not strong.However, the train location method based on the federal H∞filtering information fusion is more robust.It does not need any hypothesis of the interference signal,it overcomes the difficulties and improves the adaptability of the train location, The accuracy of estimates is satisfied with train location.So it is very suitable for the urban rail traffic.Real-time and accurate information of train speed location is the guarantee of train safety and traffic efficiency. Therefore, the research of the train speed positioning has the profound significance in promoting the development ofurban railway system.
