With the rapid development of economy, as a clean and environment protectiontype efficient secondary energy, power becomes an important guarantee of social andeconomic development. However, power quality issues have been paid more attentionand higher requirements from the people.The distribution static synchronouscompensator, as an advanced new reactive power compensation device, is used tostabilize the system voltage and improve power factor for improving the power quality.This article mainly studies the distribution static synchronous compensator, which isused to improve the power factor by the power consumers.Firstly, the paper analysed the basic structures and principle of the distributionstatic synchronous compensator. Besides, the mathematical models of the distributionstatic synchronous compensator were established while the parameters of the maincircuit were introduced.In the paper, based on the dual closed-loop control structure, the controller wasdesigned and improved in two ways. On the one hand, the feedback linearization controltheory and the internal model control theory were used in dual closed-loop controllerdesign. The controller design was relatively simple, just adjusting two parameters canwell adapt to parameter changes. On the other hand, while improving the traditionalparticle swarm optimization, the improved non-linear inertia weight particle swarmoptimization was used in the voltage loop to optimize the PI control parameters, in orderto obtain the optimal control parameters. The simulation results showed that thementioned control method could have good control effect and high dynamic responsespeed.Finally, D-STATCOM dynamic analysis, and mathematical modeling under theunbalanced system proceeded. In order to achieve the current detection under theunbalanced system, the current average method was used to instead of the low-passfilter to improve filtering. The detection method could eliminate the detection error.Onthis basis, two conditions of the load asymmetry and power asymmetries were simulatedand studied to demonstrate the effectiveness.
