Study On Post Occupation Evaluation (POE) Of City Park

City park as a public open space, provides such a entertainment room for citizesand tourists. But with the improvement of living standards, the people’s requirementsfor its content and function also have some changes,so there have been some problemsin the use of the park. In order to make a better service for users of the city park,startingfrom the park,user and their interaction,this paper will apply the theory of postoccupation evaluation(POE) in city park to find existing problems in design andmanagement and put forward the corresponding optimization proposal,then instructs thelater city park construction.Firstly, this paper takes the interpretation of city park as a basic analysis,then theconcept, characteristics, function, effect, evaluation types and methods of POE theoryare discussed,which focuses on the development of the concepts behind POE at homeand abroad and their practical application cases. Secondly,Based on the above theoryand practice knowledge and combined with the three key elements of city park, thispaper points out the effective evaluation factors and reasonable evaluation process andconstructs the assessment mode of POE in city park.Thirdly, the empirical research ofZhongshan park in Qingdao city is proceeding in this paper on the basis of theassessment mode,which builds its factors of POE through the early exploratory researchand analysis of the influential factors in the use of Zhongshan park.Then, mainlystarting from the elements of composing park and the user,through the analysis ofdocuments,the acts of observation and evaluation of the survey and statistics,this paperevaluates the park function of recreation,the active characteristics of users and parkelements and reaches a conclusion of POE in the park.Finally, based on evaluation conclusion and research results, the author putsforward some suggestions in view of some existing problems in the Zhongshan park andproposes optimization opinion in the design and management of city park on the basisof the research.
