Loader is one of the most used engineering machinery in the world. According topreliminary statistics, there are more than2million loaders sold in2010. Pins are notonly the key-module of loaders, but also the vulnerable parts. The parts of loaderequipment are connected mainly by pins which play a role of transfering power andtorque. Because of high demand, pins can be produced in large quantities. The loadergenerally works in the railway, building, mining and other construction projects. Poorworking conditions directly impact on the service life of the pin. The stability andaccuracy of loader would be affected by the failure of pins, such as dump height anddump distance can not meet the requirments.Some times it even causes overall abilityof remanufacturing has been evaluated and recovery technology has been discussedduring a comprehensives and in-depth research.The research content as follows:(1) Based on finite element and dynamics, the fatigue life model has beenestablished to predict the fatigue life of pin under the maximum load. Remainingfatigue life of pin would be got by minuing accumulation of fatigue damage under themaximum load(2) Establish the remanufacturing assessment model of failure pin and define fourbasic characteristics index, including remaining fatigue life, material properties, andfailure and recovery value. Three important indicators such as repair technology,economical efficiency and environment ability are also defined. According to thefailure characteristics of pin, each indicator would be assigned to a certain weight andthen get composite indicator of remanufacture assesment by certain calculation.Validate the effectiveness of the remanufacturing model through some examples.(3) Pins which have remanufacturing value were repaired by arc spraying andoxy-acetylene flame spray welding. Through the comparison of the microstructure,surface hardness wear resistance, cost analysis and so on, obtain the result thatoxy-acetylene flame spray welding has better coating properties and less repairquantity; it is right use arc spraying to repair pins which have large repair quantity. According to the test results, put forward some measures to improvement thetechnology.In this paper, the remanufacturing assessment model of pin has been establishedand used in evaluate the remanufacturing of pin. According to the characteristic of pin,appropriate remanufacturing technology methods have been taken.The methods havebeen verifed economical and can meet the requirements of use through a series ofexperiments.
