With the21st century coming, reform and innovation have undoubtedly become themain trend of the society. However, a mature nation with profound history will never forgetits traditional culture, because it is the foundation, symbol and pride. As Yuan Xingpei said,“If a nation’s territory is occupied by another military force, it still can be recaptured; but if anation’s culture is made extinct, or abandoned by that nation itself, it is irretrievable.â€While economic globalization accelerating, communication, acculturation and conflictamong varied civilization are getting increasingly intensive, resulting in multiculturalism anddiversity in value orientations. Facing this complicated and unstable situation, we must learnto seek wisdom from our predecessors, to inherit and develop the traditional cultural spirit ofour nation, of which the “moderation†principle is an important part (Introduction toSummary of Ancient Chinese Literature).This paper can be divided into five parts:The first part is "the introduction", briefly stating the study’s objective, significance,contents, problems resolved and innovation.The second part, the thought of neutralization and harmony focus on the aestheticconnotation reading. As an important aesthetic principles, on one hand it emphasizes tostandard artistic with moral, ethical and so on. It advocates the aesthetic of neutralization andharmony about "Joyous but not indecent,mournful but not distressing"; On the other hand,pays attention to art elements supplement which oppose each other and yet also complementeach other, and claim by coordinating the contrasting factors in art to achieve the dialecticalunification artistic effect. Of course,not limited to the aesthetic meaning, but also payattention to its social significance. As a kind of cultural spirit, it embodies our nation’s goodmindsets about generosity, peace, Moderation calm.The third part, this paper focuses on the beauty of neutralization and harmony inclassical Chinese garden design of application. In combination with the art characteristics ofChinese classical garden design, more thoroughly discussed classical Chinese garden designof the basic law in the aesthetic principles from Confucian Cultural, that is, harmony betweenthe gardensã€the builders and the surrounding environment (accomplishing a designer’s goal and meanwhile conforming to the regularity), the harmony between the buildersã€thesurrounding environment and the social environment (how to embody the ethical level ofinterpersonal harmony), the harmony between the gardensã€the surrounding environment andthe social environment (How to achieve balanced environment relationship), the harmonybetween the gardensã€the builders and the social environment (how to reflect the spirit of theage)—through such the analysis from macroscopical to microcosmic, cause us to reflect onthe thought of neutralization and harmony aboat aesthetics and culture.The fourth part analyses some problems existing in modern garden design on the basis ofthe above analysis, puts forward practical significance and related thinking of the beauty ofneutralization and harmony.The fifth part, summarizes.During the whole study,, I have been following teacher’s instruction-"respect tradition,revering arts, innovation myself ". |
