As the most fundamental part, rolling bearing is widely used in rotatingmachinery. The processing quality directly affects the machine’s performance, or willlead to catastrophic accident. Therefore, in order to ensure the quality and safety ofbearing,it must be undergo a rigorous on-line detection in the factory. At present,both domestic and international pay attention to the problem of bearing productionquality. However, existing vibration measuring instruments in our country have nothigh reliability and detection efficiency. It can’t meet the needs of mass bearingdetection.This issue is proposed for the current bearing vibration measuring instrumentdefects. DSP and FPGA are two major components be composed in this system.TMS320C6713chip is produced by TI, its high speed signal processing ability cangreatly save operation time and to improve the measurement efficiency.EP2C5Q208C7is Cyclone II series chip, this FPGA chip is produced by Altera, and itsmain function is to carry on the logic control. First of all, this paper introduces therolling bearing’s vibration mechanism and analysis method in time-frequency domain.These methods are include peak value, effective value, peak factor, FFT and improvedSTFT transform. Then the hardware design of the vibration measurement instrument isintroduced. In the hardware design process, components are selected by the need of thesystem, and some of the module circuits and functions are introduced specification.AD data acquisition circuit, DSP peripheral circuit, USB circuit, FPGA minimumsystem circuit and power supply circuit are included in these module circuits. On thatbasis, the parts of software about admeasuring apparatus are introduced. And the flowchart about some process and the main design program are displayed.This softwaredesign mainly contains the Boot load of FLASH, the initialization of the PLL, therealize of AD data acquisition by finite state machine and the realize of FFT by DSP.Butterworth digital filter is designed depend on the GB/T24610.1-2009about the threefrequency band of bearing vibration measurement to satisfy the requirement of national standard.Finally, this system is used in the bearing vibration measurement test after thedebug system. Bearing vibration measuring instrument’s validity and practicability areproved by the experimental verification. Its function and performance are coincidedwith the requirement of national standard.
