This project is sponsored by the Projects of National Natural Science Foundation(50975136) andNational key basic research development program(2011CB707602).As a classification of ultrasonic motor, linear ultrasonic motor not only has the advantages ofgeneral ultrasonic motor but also has features such as can produce straight-line movement anddriving force directly, high positioning accuracy, flexible structure design, easy miniaturization, andlight weight. In recent years, it develops very fast. Especially in the micro-precision drive systemsl,the linear ultrasonic motor has a trend to replace the electromagnetism motor.Currently, the disadvantage of the linear ultrasonic motor are big size, difficult to assemble, lowthrust and low speed. In order to solve these problems this paper designed a new linear ultrasonicmotor with compact structure, large push, and high speed, and using it to study the performence ofparallel linear ultrasonic motor. The main research contents can be summarized as the following:First it sumed up the development of linear ultrasonic motor in home and abroad, analysing thefeatures of all sorts of linear ultrasonic motor, confirming the reaserch from the existing problems.By researching the vibration transfer theory, piezoelectric theory and analysis of typical linearultrasonic motor, this paper designed new linear ultrasonic motor. And designed the U-shaped linearultrasonic motor by using Finite Element Software to optimize the structure of motor. Combine withthe flexible hinge theory to design the flexible hinge of the whole line cutting for the motor and stator,simplified the whole structure of the motor immensely. By making prototype motor and experimenttest platform to test the prototype, get the result that this motor has larger output force and outputspeed.In the meantime, in order to solve the insufficient push of single motor, this paper studied theflexible hinge from paralleling and find the output performances of motor and platform in paralleling.Analysing the experimental data to build theoretical model to explain the experiment and providingrationale for paralleling linear ultrasonic motor.
