In recent years, power quality problems have caused gradually the power departmentand users’ concern and attention. On one hand, as a large number of the impact,asymmetric and nonlinear of the voltage have been put into operation of power grid, makethe power quality problems increasingly serious such as the harmonic, voltage fluctuationand three-phase voltage unbalance. On the other hand, power quality problems not onlypose a threat to security and stability of the power grid itself, but also cause manyprecision power electronic equipment serious consequences. Therefore, for comprehensivetreatment and improving the quality of power grid, real-time and accurate monitoringpower quality has important significance.Through analysing present research situation and development trend of power qualitymonitor at home and abroad, with the latest revision of the power quality nationalstandards as the benchmark, this paper proposes a based on embedded system powerquality monitor design scheme. This device with DSP and ARM for double CPU, givesfull play to the signal processing ability of DSP and the system control ability of ARM.Designs and realizes the signal regulating circuit, AD acquisition conversion module,communication between DSP and ARM and images show circuit and so on. Through thedescription and in-depth research of six power quality standards of the state, taking thepower quality analysis algorithm based on Fast Fourier Transformation as a core, realizingthe measurement of basic parameters of alternating current, frequency deviation, voltagedeviation and 2~50 times harmonic and so on. In design various algorithm are in theintegrated development environment of Composer Studio(CCS), using C language andassembly language mixing programming to finish writing, commissioning and experimentresearchs. Finally, with embedded Linux operating system for software platform, usingQt/Embedded software as a development tool, the software and hardware of collaborativedesign method, realizes man-machine interface embedded development.Through to the development of electric power quality monitoring device in thecommissioning and experiments, this article proves the feasibility of the design scheme,and shows that the algorithm is correct. Electric power quality monitoring device has good real-time, accuracy, reliability, expansibility, realizes the network and intelligent of thepower quality monitor, provides the necessary basis for improving the quality of powerand formulating relevant management measures. Finally, the paper summarizes the work,and puts forward some problems studied further.
