Research On The Plant Landscape For Urban Residential Area

Residential area is the habitat of human, and building better environment for residential area is the main factor to improve the qulity of people life, further more the plant is the basic element for landscape design, and becomes essential natural landscape in human life. With the change of season, the color、the body、the line and the taste of the plant is changing at the same time, which is very useful for the improvement for living environment.The choice and collocation for different kinds can lead to different effection for the landscape’s vision and the sense of smell. Thus, to improve the choice and collocation for plant type has a better effect on the landscape effection and practical function for residential greenbelt.In this paper,an example of Wuhan City Centre is proposed. By investigating on the spot, combined with the researchment of related material and literature, the research status for plant landscape at home and abroad is systematically analyzed, and related monograph for residential plant landscape is comprehensive researched. Thus, the basic idea and technique routing for the research of residential plant landscape is confirmed, and the patern of plant landscape for the residential area of Wuhan City is chiefly talked in this paper.On the basis of collecting research summary for plant landscape,the Community Dominant Species Configuration Theory、Biodiversity Theory、Cost-benefit Theory、Ecological Succession Theory、Edge Effect Theory、Regionalism Landscape Design Theory and Aesthetic Thought Theory are described as seven theroy of plant landscape. Due to the status investigated for the plants of residential area of the city of Wuhan, and the comparison of plant application for three residential area, the problem existed in plant landscape for Wuhan’s residential area is provided in this paper. By talking about the relation between plant landscape and surrounding environment, and analyzing the principle for plant landscape, the patern of plant landscape for kinds of greenbelt in the residential area of Wuhan City is proposed here, and the character of plant landscape for the residential area of Wuhan City is summarised here.Finally, due to the problems existed in plant landscape for the residential area of Wuhan City right now, the new paterns of plant landscape for kinds of greenbelt in the residential area of Wuhan City are built here. In order to be used in the design of plant landscape for the residential area of Wuhan City and other areas in central region in the future,the strategy and development trend is proposed for plant landscape of the residential area of Wuhan City.
