Construction of residential areas has long been one of the hot spots of urban research with the development of cities and the urban population is increasing.The cultural literacy and quality of life of urban residents have raised,higher the requirements for the environment of residential areas.As an important element of landscape architecture in residential areas,plants can not be ignored in the landscape,and also play an important role in urban ecological environment and urban characteristics.In this study,the data of 534 residential areas in Taiyuan City were collected and screened,and 40 of them were used as research objects.The plant species,plant space effects and plant configuration in the gardens of residential areas were investigated in the field.Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)was used.Based on the survey results of garden plants in residential areas of Taiyuan City,the plant fitting suitability and landscape effect evaluation system in Taiyuan City was constructed.The 45 plant configurations were evaluated and the following conclusions were drawn:From the aspect of plant application,the main landscaping plants in the residential area of Taiyuan City are 246 species of 133 genera and 78 families,and the ratio of deciduous to evergreen species is 3:1.The main plants are mainly native trees.The main arbor species are: Sophora japonica,Prunus Cerasifera,Chinese rose,Ginkgo,Malus micromalus,Pinus bungedlna,Koelrenteria paniculata,Acer mono,Chinese pine;the main shrub species are: Ligustrum vicaryi,Euonymus kiautschovicus,Syringa oblata,Berberis thunbergii,Forsythia suspensa,Amygdalus triloba,Lonicera maackii,Sorbaria sorbifolia,Rosa chinensis,Ligustrum obtusifolium;the main herbaceous ground cover plants are: Hylotelephium erythrostictum,Yucca smalliana,Iris,Hemerocallis hybrida,Hemerocallis,Hosta plantaginea,Sedum aizoon,Aster novi-belgii,Coreopsis drummondii,and Iris lactea.From the aspect of plant space construction,based on the classification of green areas in residential areas,it summarizes the nodes in ten residential areas and puts forward different requirements for the shaping of plant space.For example,public green space,including residential area entrance,core green space,waterfront landscape,and house activity square,need to meet the characteristics of the plant configuration and landscape construction.From the aspect of plant configuration,the plant fitting suitability and landscape effect evaluation system in Taiyuan City was constructed.The index layer was constructed by landscape,ecology,planting suitability and protective function.Ten typical plant configuration patterns were selected and applied.In the plant configuration of the residential area,through the transformation and application of the same type of tree species,the ecological,rich and beautiful effect is achieved.Through analysis,we found that there are some problems in the current situation of landscape plant in Taiyuan City,such as insufficient regional characteristics,application of colored leaf plants,poor ecological awareness of plant configuration,inadequate plant maintenance management,etc.,and put forward corresponding suggestions,with a view to Avoid or optimize in the current design.
