Research On The Softening Trend Of Contemporary Exhibition Building

Exhibition building provides an ideal platform for architects to put their architectural ideas into practice. As the container of exhibition activity and information exchange, exhibition building is bound to make appropriate changes in the context of artistic innovation as well as scientific and technological revolution. It is the main purpose of this research that a certain reference could be provided for the design of exhibition building in the future by listing and summarizing the characteristics and causes of these changes.Firstly, the article introduces the background information. By means of the research on the history of exhibition building and the aesthetic background of the "softening" trend, the article reveals the fact that the changes of contemporary exhibition building could be reflected in the revolution of spatial form caused by functional expansion on the one hand, and the innovation of expression method caused by aesthetic diversification on the other. Basing on the research, several features of contemporary exhibition building are analyzed and further summarized as the "softening" trend after classification and collation. In the research method, architectural thought, economic background, social culture and technological innovation behind the trend are comprehensively discussed to form the theoretical speculation by listing domestic and international architectural practices, combining macro and micro analysis, and studying from multiple perspectives.Finally, through the in-depth analysis and research above, we could draw a conclusion that the integrated application of softening trend for the design of contemporary exhibition building would be one of the major trends in the future.
