And they work out various specific method and algorithm.This thesis mainly dissertates an aluminium tube production plant, using the Richard Muther system layout planning method to work out a layout for their new plant in the planning stage. It starts from the plant address selecting, through to analyzing the product category , production process, equipment and other aspects , studying the logistic relation and non logistic relationship between the different unit, using a set of legend symbols and concise forms to improve the existing layout design and find a better layout for the workshop.In the last chapter, the author uses the cost comparison method to make a quantitative analysis between the old layout design and two new layouts, to find the solution with smallest logistic cost .
