The research is funded by the project supported by National Natural ScienceFoundation of China (Authorized Number:50735008) in2008. As the development ofnational aerospace technology, the lifetime of spacecrafts are elongated. Many spacetransmission mechanisms with high performance are needed. At the same time, the testbed for systematically and comprehensively testing the performance of spacetransmission mechanisms is urgently needed, to satisfy high-reliability and long-liferesearch. The paper aims to develop the measurement and control software for thespecial type electromechanical transmission test system, to help the transmissionperformance test of high-performance reducers in space environment with vacuum andhigh-low temperature. The major researches in this paper are listed as follows:①The transmission performance test method for reducers in space environmentwith vacuum and high-low temperature is studied. The special type electromechanicaltransmission test bed is mainly used to test the transmission performance of reducersunder vacuum and high-low temperature environment. Compared with commonatmospheric environment test, the hardware structure for vacuum test is different. Thevacuum performance test method should be adjusted.②The measurement and control system for the special type electromechanicaltransmission test bed is designed generally. Based on power supply sequence andcontrol principles of the selected hardware, the electrical connection schemes forSIEMENS motor control modules are designed. The hardware connections for torquetransducers and angle encoders are studied to acquire the rotational velocity, angle andtorque data correctly.③The measurement and control softwarefor the test bed is developed. Based onNI LabVIEW, the measurement and control software platform for the special typeelectromechanical transmission test bed is developed.④The transmission performance test is performed on a filtering reducer prototype.Based on the measurement and control software developed in this paper, thetransmission performance of a filtering reducer are tested, including transmissionprecision, transmission efficiency, starting torque, torsional stiffness and returndifference, etc, to verify the functional integrity and operational safety of themeasurement and control software. It provides the reference basis for the improvement study on the hardware and software of the test bed.
