Analysis And Application Of Urban Design Method Based On The Prototype Of Urban Space Coupling Method

In the current era of globalization with the rapid development of China, the citybeing constructed stereotyped arises people’s attention. It is found that the cityconstruction in China facing a critical problem of the loss of urban spacecharacteristics. Therefore, it is being more and more important to create urban spacecharacteristics under the background of globalization. In order to control and developthe city characters properly, this thesis studies a city urban design method through theway of space archetype methodology.This thesis focused on the methodology of urban design, this thesis attempts toestablish city spatial characteristics in city design and Construct a universalsignificance set work program starting from the concept of "archetype" by taking "spatial archetype" as the work object," spatial archetype coupling method" as theoperating approach. Form a more complete design methodology by taking Xishui Cityof Guizhou Province as an implementation case to inspect and adjust methods.First of all, this thesis introduces the archetype theory into the city designmethodology on the basis of domestic and international relevant theories. The thesisdefines and discusses the concepts of the archetype, spatial archetype and archetypecoupling method. The thesis studies the object of the city design from the variousperspectives of the properties and the configuration of the spatial archetype, anddefines the city design methodology based on the archetype coupling approach.Secondly, this thesis discusses the characteristics, principle and its workingprinciple of this methodology, anglicizes the contents、 structure and key points ofspatial archetype coupling approach, and discusses the superiority and innovation ofthis methodology. Based of which, the thesis comprehensively and systematicallydiscussed the work flow and operation organization of “spatial archetype couplingapproach”, namely:" analysis-extraction-coupling and generation-shaping-thefollow-up work".Thirdly, this thesis applies the spatial archetype coupling approach of city designmethodology into practice, demonstrates feasibility of this methodology with intuitive,practical, specific projects, and expounds the logical thinking and design flow throughthe application of this methodology.In conclusion, this thesis starts with the definition of the " archetype ", studies and summarizes the relative theory and work flow of" spatial archetype couplingapproach ", and demonstrates its feasibility through the application into practice, withthe goal of finding an design methodology which can build the city characteristicseffectively. We hope this thesis can provide another new thinking logic and usefulreference for the future city design theory and practice study.
