Discussion Of The Creation Of Zen In The Modern Landscape Art

China’s art of gardening has a long history and tradition, It is known as the"quintessence". So, what’s the essence of it? The essence of it is its profound culturalconnotation and deep artistic spirit-A successful garden does not simply exist as anarchitectural form-The nature of it is culture, art–It is not only beautify theenvironment, but also to communicate with natural relationship, More important is thatit can inspire people to cognition and perception of life.Once upon a time, the proud glory seems bleak. We see no real culture in manyso-called "modern landscape", not also experience the true spirit of art, there is only thedazzling, nondescript shell. For example, some people imitated the foreign landscapearchitecture blindly under the guise of "to the world"（Just the shape, not for thecharm),they are called "mimicry" by professionals jokingly; there are also some peoplepasted the "cultural label" stiffly to the building under the guise of "Carrying forwardthe tradition", as we can see the patterns of "yin yang ba gua". everywhere in a Taoistgarden (including toilets). People do not have the feeling of "walk" into the culture, butwas "kidnapped" into the culture. We can only say that this is a tragedy of modernlandscape art.This article examined and interpreted the present garden construction from theperspective of Zen aesthetics, and made some serious thought about the existence ofcertain problems and improvements.Zen Buddhist thought, embodies the Chinese people’s philosophy thinking about thenatural,the life, the reality, and the future, it shows the unique mind of the Chinesepeople; The Zen aesthetics, reflects the Chinese people’s unique "Oriental wisdom" onartistic issues. This paper focus on these Zen applied to the analysis and solution of theproblem. For example, in the functional aspects of the garden, This article emphasizedthe importance of the introduction of the "Zen" from the perspective of ecological crisis,the relationship between natural, the living conditions of the present people; In terms ofthe landscape design, This article advocated a bold and innovative, just like Zenrelieving Buddha must get rid of the "executive", we do not have to superstitious foreigners, also without superstitious ancients, only forget something、break the rules、and sway freely, it be possible to design a modern garden with a profound culturalimplication、deep harmony between man and natural and the Zen Buddhism interesting.How to use the Zen aesthetic to guide the design and construction of the moderngarden is a big subject, This article just made some superficial attempts. I would like totake this as a start, and continue to do so.
