A Study On Characteristics And Design Development Of Permeable Sidewalk Structure

As a new form of pavement,porous pavement has got part in application at homeand abroad.But,the construction of the porous pavement structure also has a biggerdifference because of its specific function requirements and construction in differentareas.This paper puts forward to design new permeable sidewalk structure through thestudy on the layers of permeable sidewalk,which provide reference for the constructionand study of permeable sidewalk in the future.The main content of this paper is to study the permeable sidewalk’s surfacelayer,base and the whole structure. According to the sidewalk structure layer use and thefunctional requirements confirmed the surface porous pavement base of the cementstable macadam control index,which through the laboratory test. According to the index,through the indoor mixture composition design test,sure the material composition ofcement stabilized acadam (maximum diameter of gravel, gradation, cement content,etc.). On the base of present situation for the cement stable macadam permeabilitycoefficient test,this paper development a simple practical permeability coefficient testdevice, and use it in indoor permeability test. Through the analysis of test results, findthe relationship between the cement stabilized acadam’s permeability coefficient and airvoid. According to the study of permeable sidewalk’s surface layer and base,design thewhole structure of permeable sidewalk. On the basis of summary and improve existingstructure of permeable sidewalk,design new structure of permeable sidewalk for citypermeable pavement design reference, which can be benefit to urban ecological andrational utilization of precipitation. Finally, according to the research results ofpermeable sidewalk’s surface layer and base, design the permeable sidewalk’s structurein Qingdao city as the example which combined with Qingdao in geographic locationand climate conditions.As people’s attention in the construction of ecological city and sustainabledevelopment of the social recognition,the sidewalk of city construction will bepermeable type for the mainstream, city permeable, air ground area will grow larger.And then, more and more city residents will feel all kinds of benefits by porouspavement.
