Roller is an indispensable and important component of rolling bearing, whilespherical roller is the most complex of roller, its scroll surface is a convex spherical ofrotary body which exists with processing difficult and measurement more difficultproblems. Based on in-depth analysis and research on structure features of sphericalroller and control conditions and combination with optical non-contact threedimensional measurement technologies, a set of dedicated measurement systemadopting non-contact, high precision, and the full parameter which aims at sphericalroller is put forward in this paper.In this paper, related theories and methods of optical non-contact measurementtechnology are analyzed; measuring system platform for roller based on opticaltriangulation measurement is built. The system uses green LED light source and CCDlaser probe which is digitally integrated with HL-CCD optical system and high-speeddigital processing module, so well high precision digital measurement of the measuredsurface and high speed signal acquisition and processing can be realized. Combinedwith the related research results at home and abroad, according to the structurecharacteristics of the spherical roller, algorithm of small sample and discrete dataprocessing are studied, the small arc and large radius of the bearing spherical rollerradius parameters are evaluated; Combined with the maturity of the angulardisplacement working table technology, a kind of X-Y two-way orthogonal couplingangle adjustable rotary table is put forward, it exists remarkable superiors in non-contact screens measuring instruments and rotated measured parts when its end planeand the axis of rotation have no requirement of verticality. Computer integrated controlsystem of hardware is constructed. Automatic measurement of composite parts isrealized through the combination the optical measurement head controller, motioncontroller and a grating counter and the driving control module.Software system is constructed of the system settings, data measurement and file manipulation. The system based on the Windows XP/7as development environment,Microsoft Visual C++as the development platform, architecture and workflow of thesoftware system are constructed. The large experimental results indicate that thedeveloped measurement system has a friendly interface, convenient operation,complete function, which can satisfy the product detection functions and precisionrequirements.
