The fault diagnosis of aero-engine whole-body vibration is very important and main research areas in aero-engine fault diagnosis field. Information fusion is a subject formed recently and has been researched and applied in many fields. But, it is in starting stage in aero-engine fault diagnosis, especial in aero-engine whole-body vibration fault diagnosis. There are much available information in fault diagnosis. Only when the available information is adequately used in the fault diagnosis of aero-engine whole-body vibration, can the precision and credibility be improved. So the fault diagnosis of aero-engine whole-body vibration is a process of much information fusion.To begin with, not only this paper has introduced the basic methods and familiar faults and their characteristics in aeroengine whole-body vibration; moreover, but also the formation fusion characteristic, form structure and concrete processing methods are described, and information fusion in fault diagnosis is proved feasible and availability from the angle of information theory, then the mode besed information fusion is put forward. Then, the modeling method, the formation principles and implementation strategy of support vector machine (SVM) are studied and analyzed, then the method is proved to feasible and effective by the example analysis of the aeroengine whole-body vibration fault diagnosis. Furthermore, through an overview of the information entropy theory, feature extraction and model, a quantitative diagnostic method based on process integration information entropy has been presented and verified to effective depending on examples in the aeroengine whole-body vibration fault diagnosis. Finally, the information fusion method based on information entropy and Support Vector Machine(SVM) is put forward and proved to feasible and effective by the aero-engine whole-body vibration fault diagnosis.The results of simulation and experiments show that: Based on the aero-engine whole-body vibration of information fusion fault diagnosis, it is put on the fault diagnosis of precision and accuracy.
