The aircraft assembly needs accurate measurements of the position and pose for large parts. Thetraditional manual measurement is tedious and the measuring efficiency is low. So it is difficult tomeet the requirements of the development of modern aircraft. In order to ensure the automation foraircraft assembly, it needs efficient measurement to provide data. To solve the above issues, this thesishas done research on the automatic measurement technology of adjustment reference point applied inthe docking of large parts. The automatic measurement is the process of the locating, searching andmeasuring of the reference points with the laser tracker. The main research in this thesis is outlined asfollow:1) The automatic measurement method of the reference point for large aircraft components isresearched. The layout program of laser tracker stations for the wing-fuselage joining ofARJ21is researched, and the coordinate solver model of the fuselage and wings forautomatic measurement is derived.2) The solution algorithm for measurement coordinate conversion parameters is analyzed. Onthe base of the Gauss-Newton algorithm, the damped least squares solution model ofcoordinate conversion parameters was established. For improving the efficiency of thealgorithm, the issue of the initial value and how to choose common points and so on isanalyzed.3) Effects of the measurement error for aircraft assembly are analyzed. With the secondarydevelopment of Leica emScon system, the search and measurement of the reference point isachieved. The measurement software for aircraft wing-fuselage joining is developed on theVC++platform.4) On the basis of the above findings, the measurement process of the wing and fuselage areplanned for the wing-fuselage joining of ARJ21. By the use of the measurement software,the automatic measurement of the wing-fuselage joining is realized.
