During the whole design process of aircraft assembly tools, the design of assembly fixtures is ofgreat importance. Because of the complex structure of assembly fixtures, we need lots of experienceand knowledge to design. To solve these problems, some correlative design technologies for aircraftassembly fixtures are studied, and a system for the design of aircraft assembly fixtures is developedaccording to requirement of a large aeronautics manufacturing enterprise, to enhance assemblyfixtures design efficiency. The main contents are as followed:(1)Studied the discovery and research method of knowledge for assembly fixture designing,concluded the knowledge, and realized the assembly fixture main structure designing componentsbased on the CAA and knowledge engineering method.(2)Studied board components modeling technology based on aircraft production, and designfeature mapping between airplane production and board components is realized. Technical support forthe concurrent design of aircraft production and fixture provided.(3) We developed a parameterized components management system.This system can managefamiliar components of aircraft fixture, improve the model reusability of components, improve theefficiency of aircraft fixture designing and shorten the production designing period.(4)We did some researches on the quick assembling of components, and realized sometypical-structured components quick assembling in aircraft fixture designing by quick assemblingtechnology based on geometric assembly features.
