| Joint locator is a kind of fixture part and widely used in aircraft assembly fixtures. The design level of joint locator is significantly to improve efficiency and quality of aircraft assembly fixtures design. At present, there are some disadvantages in the process of joint locator design, such as: complex steps of the design, difficult reuse of the design knowledge. In order to solve these problems, some rapid design technologies are studied, and a sub-system of joint locator rapid design based on CATIA is developed according to the requirement of a large aeronautics enterprise, which is collaborated with NUAA. The main jobs of this paper are as followed:(1) Categories of the joint locator are summarized on the base of analysis for the structures and design methods of it, the structure model and the design model of joint locator is built. Three joint locator design methods are proposed, providing the technology support for the joint locator rapid design.(2) Coordinated technology in joint locator design is researched and the "loose - tight" assembly constrains mode are proposed, i.e. using loose assembly constrains mode between joint locator and frame, using tight assembly constrains mode between joint locator and products. Solve the update problem of assembly fixture.(3) Reasoning technology for joint locators based on rule is researched, and the reasoning strategy and control strategy are built, apply the reuse of joint locators design knowledge.(4) The simple mechanics model of joint locator is built, the rigidity analysis technology based on formulas is used in the joint locator design process and the output data are referred to the joint locator design system. At the end of the design, the rigidity analysis technology based on FEA is used to validate the design result.(5) Sub-system of joint locator rapid design based is developed based on above researches, and well applied in a large aeronautics and astronautics enterprise and achieves favorable results. |
