The electronic equipment must work in a suitable temperature range to ensure reliable operationof itself nowadays. With development of electronic devices and increasing function and complexity,electronic devices are required to be small compact size and sharp increase in thermal load lead tomore heat flux. The approach of previously used air cooling can hardly solve the heat dissipation sothat liquid cooling system is proposed to deal with it. This paper designs a small liquid cooling systembased on the previous theory of liquid cooling system and choose appropriate accessories with havinga brief analysis. It does a research on plate-fin type air-liquid heat exchanger, which has large thermalinertia, and establishes its mathematical model, simulate single and third cross-flow heat exchangersdynamically with MATLAB software. Moreover, it sets up mathematical model of booster pump andcontroller. Then according to liquid cooling system elementary diagram, it establishes simulationmodel of accessories and sets up the simulation diagram of system. Based on cooling fluid flowcharacteristics, it calculates and analyzes the characteristics of flow rate and temperature. At the end,it takes a summary on the study of small liquid cooling system, and Provide a reference for the designand research in the future.According to the simulation results, controlling coolant flow and air supply volume of heatexchanger cold side can ensure cooling liquid rate and temperature in the specified range, andguarantee liquid cooling system taking heat load of electronic equipment away effectively.
