The world today is facing both severe energy crisis and environmental crisis.Fossil energy is nearly depleted and the total energy is shortage, which seriouslyconstrains the rapid development of China’s national economy and will also lead tothe world economic crisis and the intensification of the conflict. At the same time, ozone depletion and global warming has become an increasingly serious globalenvironmental problem. Most of the synthetic refrigerants will spread into theatmosphere, and there will always be a potential danger on the ecologicalenvironment. The dual crisis of energy and environment makes the search for cleanand efficient energy conversion technology to become matters of common concern.Heat pump, which has been considered one of the most appropriate way ofrationalization of industrial processes and energy-efficient for a long time, help toalleviate the severe energy situation in the world today, and was widely promoted andapplications. The same time, water as an excellent natural refrigerant, because of itsenvironmental acceptability, security, cheapness, easy to obtain, etc., has beenextensive concerned and researched in the worldwide. The typical system, which is a combination of excellent water and heat pumpsystem, is vapor recompression system. The system has many advantages, such asenvironmental protection, energy conservation, system simplifies. The secondarysteam is compressed by compressor and its pressure, temperature and enthalpy areraised. Then the steam is used as the heat source. The latent heat in the secondarysteam will be fully utilized and energy-saving purpose is achieved. In this paper, the works is finished as follows:(1) Domestic and foreign research for VRC is introduced and an open-watervapor compression heat pump system model for distillation is established;(2) By the analysis of system cycle, properties of water and heat transfer, ananalysis model is established. Assume that the evaporation heat transfer device tofully heat exchanger, Electric power, heat and COP are analyzed and calculated.Afterthat we can determine the best work condition;(3) Based on this optimal condition, parameters of the system are calculated andthe evaporation plant is designed;(4) Base on the certain evaporation device, the variation of the performance indicators is analyzed.
