In this paper, we mainly focused on the problem of adaptive adjustmentof the vehicle seat system. We brought the stereo machine vision andobjective optimization framework into the optimization process of seatingposition, introduced the eye targeted adaptive adjustment system via binocularvision, solved the key problems in the seating comfort optimization for theindividual driver. The research includes aspects as below:(1) Establish the acquisition method of the eye position informationbased on the binocular stereo vision to detect the eye position in space. Thismethod covers key technologies such as the eye detection algorithm, hardwareplatform, software design and implementation and finally solves the problemof eye space information extraction;(2) For the problem of individual differences in comfort locationoptimization, we introduced the multi-objective optimization method,proposed the optimization method of comfort position based on thecharacteristics of individual driver, and the control strategy of the adjustmenthardware implementation system.(3) Establish the vehicle adjustment hardware platform for the overalladaptive adjustment system, design and implement the data acquisition andcontrol of the seat system.(4) Develop the visualization software system for the vehicle seatingcomfort adaptive adjustment system, following the ergonomic principles, inthe environment of.NET and C#using Microsoft Visual Studio2010,Autodesk3DS Max2009, Adobe Flash CS3and XNA.
