| The Maxoflex corrugated sidewall belt conveyor imported by Baosteel COREXiron-making project is the main charging feed belt conveying pellets, lump ore and othermaterials. In the process of enhancing the COREX furnace production, significantdifference between its actual transmission capacity and design capability is found out,affecting the entire COREX furnace production. Therefore, this paper focuses on: theoptimal solution should be adopted to improving and upgrading the transmission capacity,and ensure long-term stable operation of the entire device.Firstly, this paper gives a brief introduction on the structural and technical parametersof the Maxoflex corrugated sidewall belt conveyors, and then makes an analysis on thereason for the insufficient transmission capacity. The optimal solution is selected to keepbelt speed and increase the motor power. And the paper also respectively discusses theproblems of components load capacity issues: check the peak torque and heat capacity ofreducer in higher-power motor; using Solidworks software to analyze the shell strength offluid coupling and check the heat capacity of the coupling by carrying out experiments.Secondly, the top bend roller and the drive pulley of the corrugated sidewall conveyorhave serious failure after the optimization. The failure analysis about these phenomena arecarried out by the physical and chemical analysis, stress analysis, etc, and access whetherthese components failures are related to the transmission capacity optimization. Accordingto the analysis results, this paper proposes the concrete solution of componentimprovement. |
