In recent years, HVDC transmission project obtained a rapid development in our country and±800kV HVDC project put into operation in 2010 July, marks a new step on HVDC project in China. With the running voltage level of HVDC project gradually enhanced, the difficulty of the transmission lines operation maintenance is increased and the requirement for safety appliance is also gradually increased. However, HVDC project is still underdeveloped at present in our country, the part of safety appliance failed to practice in HVDC project, this undoubtedly increase the labour intensity of the living worker and difficulty of the operational maintenance work. Therefore, developing new safety appliance for HVDC project becomes urgent topic.Operation practice and maintenance work is an important way to investigate grid equipment operation, find and deal with the important means of equipment defects.《The safety electrical power lines working procedures of the state grid corporation (partial)》stipulates:In part of the blackout electrical equipment should identify whether the equipment is living work at first before living work. Above the voltage level of±500kV HVDC project has two basic characteristics, equipment structure parameters high and operation parameters high. Meanwhile, HVDC transmission lines also has tower, high tower head insulator string size, long, etc, plus aloft working factor of the space around, equipment, electric equipment field relation between the higher reliability and anti-interference ability accordingly have higher requirements. If still use the check electric equipment before check electricity, not only check the accuracy of electric results cannot assure, will greatly increase homework personnel labor intensity, may even check electrical operation can’t be achieved.Based on the characteristics of HVDC project, and study the practice of the electric equipment both at home and abroad, we not only have developed the reaction intelligent high voltage inspection instrument, but also eased the difficult of HVDC transmission project electric detect question effectively.The paper discusses the characteristics of HVDC project transmission lines on the basis of analyzing the actual conditions and measured on the spot, then determined the alternating induction principle according to realize inductive (non-contact) test voltage methods; According to the field of HVDC project, the paper appointed the distribution characteristics of design requirements and put forward according to the distance with charged equipment to determine alarm threshold and dual channel acquisition appearance reducing interference methods of work; Meanwhile, according to the design method of intelligent high-pressure inspection instrument,we developed the hardware and software design; We do a lot of practice testing on the DC transmission and Fengxian HVDC converter station after developed experimental prototype, finally success has developed the reaction type intelligent high-pressure inspection instrument.
