Acrylic fiber was used as the substrate in this topic, two methods were used respectively to graft styrene in acrylic for forming side chain, they were solution method and plasma. Further Chloromethylation and amination to make it have functional groups and eventually obtained strongly basic anion-exchange fiber. Through the exploration of various process parameters of the study, the optimum synthesis condition was obtained. At the optimal conditions, the product with grafting yield of 70% was got when the solution method was used and the ion-exchange fiber with the exchange capacity of 2.92mmol/g was obtained. The product with grafting yield of 20% was got when the plasma method was used and the ion-exchange fiber with the exchange capacity of 1.40mmol/g or so was obtained. The grafting yield was more higher got when used solution method, but there were more side effects and the homopolymer was difficult to be removed. Although the grafting yield of plasma was relatively lower than that of solution method, but homopolymer was less. The method of infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, TG analysis were used to characterize the ion-exchange fibers, the characteristic peaks were obvious, the micro-fiber surface morphology changed obviously and the thermal stability was good. A series of tests of performance was conducted and the effects were obvious. The self-made strongly basic ion-exchange fiber was used on adsorption and desorption of Ginkgo polysaccharide, the adsorption ratio could reach more than 88% and the desorption ratio could reach more than 92%, purity of crude Ginkgo polysaccharide was increased from 22.51% to 61.42%, the effect of separation was significant.
