Caofeidian seashore-city located in the southern coastal area of Tangshan.This area’s geological environment is complex, at the same time, it is also in the planning area of development of industry, so it is particularly important to evaluate and plan its environmental quality.According to the theory of engineering geology and environmental geology, GIS was used as the research tool.The stability of the geological environment quality of Caofeidian seashore-city has been evaluated. They are crust stability, ground stability and foundation stability.The result showed that it distributed as strip and the stability became stronger from west to east. North-east is the steadiest area and it accounts for about 32 percent. West is an unsteady area and it accounts of about 17 percent, the rest is opposite steady area and it accounts of about 51 percent.Based on the stability analysis of the geological environment, combining with urban planning, taking into full account the land status and the characteristics of planning area, economic and environmental benefits, fit areas have beed divided . The result showed that north-east is suitable for all buildings, west is not suitable for any buildings, and the rest is fitter areas.In addition, the appraisal results put an important guidance on programming and layout of Caofeidian seashore-city. |
